The extra time was not kind to the bettors who were left with 11th place Baylor Bears and 2.5 points compared to the second classified houston cougars on Saturday 12 big Men’s college basketball confrontation.

Here’s how the frantic final seconds of regulation (Baylor bettors were hopeful after a late 3-pointer was called back after the buzzer) and overtime unfolded as the Cougars took cover. 82-76.

Bears supporters who took the points were concerned when Baylor trailed at halftime 41-25.

Scott Drew’s team rallied in the second half, tying the game 69-69. Yves MissiLayup and foul with 4.4 seconds left.

But Missi missed the free throw. Cougar bettors thought they were covered when Jamal Shead He made a jumper from well behind the 3-point line at the buzzer, but replays ruled his shot was late.

If the shot had counted, Baylor would not have covered the 2.5 points.

Overtime!

The Bears took their first (and, it seems, only) lead in Ray Dennis‘ jumps 22 seconds into extra time.

Baylor bettors held out hope when Messi made a dunk with 35.3 seconds left, but was ruled out as an offensive goalie.

Instead of cutting Houston’s lead to 75-74, the Cougars scored five straight points to pull away.

Baylor missed seven straight field goal attempts as Houston covered, 82-76.

The Cougars are now 24-3, while the Bears moved to 19-8.
