There are arts organizations based across the country, especially those focused on local performance. Try Googling terms like “fundraising for an arts organization” or “position at an arts organization” and your status to see what opportunities might be available.
The role will not necessarily be called a fundraiser. It can often fall into the category of director or development. And some employers might prioritize experience in arts philanthropy or fundraising. “My path to this position was through fundraising,” Kramer says. “I’m a fundraiser for the arts.”
