Bethenny Frankel criticized Kelly Rowland for having “diva expectations” after the singer left the “Today” show due to backstage issues.
“I co-hosted with Hoda (Kotb) and I get there and the makeup area that you touch up in is often a drop cloth, like a black drop,” the “Real Housewives of New York City” alum he said in a now-deleted TikTok video.
“And then your dressing room is the size of a closet and you’re trying to fit all your people into the clown car. And you know what? You are so excited. You are so kind”.
Frankel added: “You co-host the ‘Today’ show, an entertainment institution, a news organization that’s not about fancy dressing rooms.”
The reality star acknowledged that the makeup area on the morning show “is completely communal” and the food isn’t that great, but said it should be “an honor” to be there alongside “Today” host Hoda Kotb.
“This was not the time for diva expectations,” she concluded.
Frankel’s comments come after Page Six exclusively reported that Rowland, 43, had abruptly abandoned her guest-hosting duties on “Today with Hoda & Jenna” on Thursday because her dressing room wasn’t up to par.
“Kelly and his team were not happy. They didn’t like the dressing room, so they decided to remove her from the show, leaving (Kotb) without a guest host during 10 a.m.,” a source previously told us.
The singer’s departure from Destiny’s Child left “Today” insiders baffled because, “She’s beloved on ‘Today.’ She was getting the full hour and Hoda is the most over the top woman on the planet! It did not make sense”.

Rowland’s team allegedly asked about a green room upstairs because they “didn’t like the one she was in.” However, that room was occupied by Jennifer Lopez, who was there to promote her new album, “This Is Me… Now,” and its accompanying film project, “The Greatest Love Story Never Told.”
After the “Dilemma” singer declined to co-host, Rita Ora was able to replace her.
The British singer, 33, confirmed she was asked to co-host at the last minute after Rowland left the set.
“Well, this happened!” Ora captioned a slideshow of photos and videos on Instagram on Friday in which she appears as a co-host alongside Kotb, 59.
“We had two minutes to prepare ahhh, thank you @hodaandjenna for asking me to co-host the show…”
