The Boss returns home to rock on the beach.
That’s right: Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are returning to Asbury Park, New Jersey, to play together there for the first time in 14 years.
At the end of the summer, they will headline the Sea.Hear.Now festival in North Beach on Sunday, September 15, the festival announced Tuesday.
The hot ticket promises to be a wild scene.
The last time Springsteen played in Asbury Park was in December 2010 at the Carousel House to an invitation-only crowd.
However, surprise sets at the Stone Pony aside, it’s been more than 20 years since he played a ticketed show in the city.
That same day, the stage will be rocked by Gaslight Anthem, Trey Anastasio Band, Norah Jones, Kool & the Gang, Action Bronson, Gogol Bordello, Larkin Poe, Joy Oladokun, the Aces, Eggy, Illiterate Light, Bertha, Sunshine. Spazz and Rachel Ana Dobken.
Earlier that weekend, on Saturday, September 14, Noah Kahan, the Black Crowes, 311, the Revivalists, the Hives, Grace Potter, Sierra Ferrell, Peaches, Guster, Ziggy Alberts, the Robert Randolph Band, Joe P. , Passafire and Sonic Blume.
