Both South Indian and Bollywood films are enjoying notable success at the box office. However, despite this positive trend, some films are experiencing delays in their OTT releases. A case in point is the 2024 Malayalam film ‘Abraham Ozler’, which faced an unexpected setback. The film is reportedly scheduled to make its OTT debut in March 2024.

‘Abraham Ozler’ is a 2024 Indian Malayalam-language thriller film focusing on psychological, medical and criminal themes. Co-produced and directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas, scripted by Randheer Krishnan, the film has a stellar cast. Jayaram plays the lead character, supported by Anaswara Rajan, Arjun Ashokan, Anoop Menon, Arya Salim, Senthil Krishna, Jagadish, Saiju Kurup and Dileesh Pothan. Also, Mammootty makes an extended cameo. The story delves into the life of Abraham Ozler, an experienced police officer who deals with the disturbing disappearance of his family. While immersed in the investigation of a murder involving an IT employee, Ozler finds himself tracking a cunning serial killer.

The second season was initially scheduled to premiere on May 20, 2022, but all episodes were unexpectedly dropped two days ahead of schedule. This season explores Abhishek’s deeper involvement in politics and village development, along with his preparation for the CAT exam.
Excitement surrounded the announcement of a third season, which was originally scheduled to premiere on January 15, 2024. However, it was later postponed until the first week of March.

‘Zwigato’ is a 2022 Hindi drama film, directed by Nandita Das. Produced by Applause Entertainment and Nandita Das Initiatives, the film delves into the unbreakable nature of life. Kapil Sharma and Shahana Goswami lead the cast. The film premiered at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival before its theatrical release on March 17, 2023. Recognized at the 69th Filmfare Awards, ‘Zwigato’ earned three nominations, notably in categories such as Best Critics’ Choice Movie and Critics’ Best Actress.

‘Agent’ is a 2023 Telugu action-packed spy thriller film directed by director Surender Reddy and scripted by Vakkantham Vamsi. The film features Akhil Akkineni, Mammootty, Dino Morea, Sakshi Vaidya and Vikramjeet Virk in prominent roles. Notably, this film serves as the Telugu cinema debut of Vaidya and Morea.
