Ann shared a video of NYPD officers escorting her out of the hallway along with the tweet. In it, she screamed, “I didn’t do anything wrong! I didn’t touch my phone! I wanted to see Matt Rife because he’s a friend of mine…and I’m going to jail!”
His comment on the video read: “This is not even a bit. In real life, I got arrested tonight at @mattrife’s show at Radio City Music Hall #wtf.” In a follow-up tweet, Ann explained to her fans that she was only briefly arrested and that police released her about 45 minutes later.

A source from Rife’s program spoke with the New York Post about how Ann allegedly behaved at the show, leading to her arrest. They explained that she was recording the show with her phone, which is not allowed, and they refused to stop when asked. It was at that point that the NYPD got involved and asked him to leave.
The source said Ann “wasn’t eliminated because of the phone, she was eliminated because she was disruptive.” They added: “She was being very disorderly. She started making noise, the police were there and started kicking them.”
Footage obtained and shared by the media outlet showed Ann using her phone before police approached her and asked her to leave. She is then shown hugging herself and resisting all peaceful efforts to leave the room. It is likely at this point that the adult film star was arrested and dragged away.
Matt Rife has had a series of scandals
Ann’s arrest on her comedy show is just another scandal Rife has had in her comedy career. The 28-year-old, who quickly rose to fame thanks to his viral comedy videos on TikTok, came under fire in November 2023 for his jokes about domestic violence in his Netflix comedy special.
As the special began, Rife shared the story of going to a Baltimore restaurant with a friend and being served by a waitress with a black eye. He explained that they questioned why the owner of the place did not ask the woman to work in the kitchen to avoid questions and concerns from customers.
Rife then joked, “Yeah, but I feel like if I could cook, I wouldn’t have a black eye.” The joke did not go over well with the crowd, leading Rife to say that he shared the story to “test the water” about how funny they were.
Once the special was released, criticism spread to social networks, especially X and TikTok. One viewer wrote: “No Matt Rife builds his platform to cater to his female audience and then opens his Netflix special with a joke about domestic violence.”
