Shark Tank India season 3 started off strong with six returning sharks and six new ones. Clips from various episodes are trending on social media, including one viral. with the shark Aman Gupta and pitcher Priyasha Saluja of The Cinnamon Kitchen. Aman recently reacted to the romantic edits doing the rounds on the internet, and now Priyasha has revealed that she spoke to him about it.

In a chat with Ayushman Pandita on his podcast, Priyasha spoke about the viral memes and said, “Honestly, we have all been laughing. I mean, because of the way the edits are made and the way they were removed from the episode, it really shows you what the internet and meme culture is all about. And we’ve always been a part of it too, right? So now, when you’re on the receiving end, laugh a lot about it.”

When asked if he talked about this with a man, Priyasha said, “We both laughed at it. He said, ‘My wife and kids are laughing.’ I say, ‘Yes, my parents are laughing.’ Nobody is sad. Everyone knows it’s just a joke on the Internet and we all laugh about it. But I think everyone has taken it with good taste.”

During Priyasha’s performance for The Cinnamon Kitchen, she interrupted Aman’s offer by saying, “Don’t bully me like that.” The edited clip, set to the romantic song “Aaj Se Teri” by Pad Man and featuring a scene from Tere Naam, hilariously suggests that Aman has developed feelings for Priyasha, leaving everyone divided.

Aman had previously commented on an edit saying: “You guys are crazy… My wife will kill me…. but I’m sure the edition has been nice…. Tell the editor to apply for a position at boAt now.”

Priyasha said that she deliberately tried to make the episode entertaining. She said, “When I got on Shark Tank, I realized that 50% of the pitches that are made there don’t make it to air. So, very deliberately, if you see the beginning part of my speech which is also filled with a lot of humor, I try to make it as entertaining as possible.” Talking about the impact of the episode on sales, the pitcher said, “The day the episode aired in the evening we saw a lot of visitors coming in and the sale was about double, now currently after let’s say 10 days of the episode airing. we are around 4 times continuously. So we were doing 80 to 100 orders a day, which increased to 3x 3.5x.”
