American singer Akon arrived in Jamnagar on Sunday for the pre-wedding events of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. Akon was beaten outside Jamnagar airport and surrounded by fans as he walked towards his car.
He was wearing a white t-shirt and a red scarf around his neck.
Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) chairman Mukesh Ambani’s youngest son Anant Ambani will marry industrialist Viren Merchant’s daughter Radhika Merchant later this year.

The first day of the festivities witnessed a special drone show followed by a splendid performance by pop sensation Rihanna.
The second day of the pre-wedding celebrations was filled with electrifying performances from celebrities.

Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Sidharth Malhotra, Kiara Advani, Saif Ali Khan, Varun Dhawan, Anil Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Ibrahim Ali Khan, Ananya Panday and Aditya Roy Kapur. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will also attend the mega party.
Early on Sunday morning, dressed in all their finery, a group of Indian film stars took to the stage, set up in a residential township near the RIL oil refinery near the city of Jamnagar, to celebrate the next wedding.
Talking about the relevance of art and culture, Reliance Foundation Founder and Chairman Nita Ambani said, “Throughout my life I have been inspired by art and culture. “It has moved me deeply and I am very passionate about it.”
He also said, “When my youngest son Anant’s wedding to Radhika came, I had two important wishes: First, I wanted to celebrate our roots… Jamnagar holds a special place in our hearts and has a deep meaning. “Gujarat is where we come from, it’s where Mukesh and his father built the refinery and I started my career turning this arid, desert area into a lush green township and vibrant community.”
