All the details about Miley Cyrus’ hairstyle at the 2024 Grammys

Miley Cyrus lived one of the most stylish nights at the 2024 Grammys.

She didn’t wear one, not two, not even three looks for music’s biggest night. No, the “Flowers” singer, and now Grammy-winning artist! She – she wore five different outfits for the occasion. We’ve broken down all the details about them (and will do so again in a moment), but for now we have to talk about Cyrus’ hair!

Yes, when Cyrus, 31, arrived on the Crypto.com Arena red carpet, her custom Maison Margiela dress turned heads, but her voluminous hair also made everyone’s eyes turn.

The artist turned to her longtime stylist. Bob Recineof course, and she knew exactly what to do to achieve a look that tied together all five of Cyrus’ outfits for Grammy night.

“I’ve been working with Miley for a long time and tonight we wanted to create something different from last year, with a style that looked like it had a 70s Barbarella feel while also having a modern punk feel. Cyrus walked up and down the Grammy stage, accepted two awards (her first Grammys) from her and performed her hit song “Flowers.” She even gave a nod to Tina Turner in her performance, which she also thought was appropriate for her bouffant hair and fringed Bob Mackie minidress.

She used anti-humidity products to tame Cyrus’ hair in the L.A. weather (and keep it under control in the rain!) and used a heat protectant before using a round brush and blow dryer.

Then he used the Nexxus Lacquer XXL Volume (even though she loves “all” of the brand’s hairspray options) and sprayed each section as she dried it so she could manipulate the roots and get each section exactly how she wanted. He also used Velcro rollers on top to create even more volume.

Lastly, she added a little hair oil to give it shine and softness and keep it straight throughout the night.

Cyrus really needed big hair to balance out the shine of her five Grammys night looks, each one more gorgeous than the last. She started the night off strong in a custom Maison Margiela dress that took 675 hours to make and included 14,000 safety pins.

She then donned a black slit jumpsuit to accept her first Grammy before changing back into her archival Bob Mackie minidress to perform. Changing again, she found herself in a black bustier and matching pants with a feather bolero. To end the night, she donned one last attention-grabbing look: a brown sequin Gucci dress that she wore onstage to accept her Grammy for record of the year.

To end her acceptance speech, she joked that she forgot her underwear, which makes sense, because her dress had an extremely daring slit that went all the way to her hip bone!

But it turns out it was just a joke, as the pop star confirmed today. In fact, she was wearing custom Gucci panties. which matched her chocolate brown dress.

She took to Instagram to recap her night with a carousel of photos and a heartfelt, funny caption.

“First Mariah, then Meryl and Mark. It’s so much fun sharing the stage with my friends. @kidharpoon@pollackmusic @tylersamj This third photo perfectly sums up our relationship. You three want me to do all the talking until I start talking…” she wrote, before adding, “P.S.
