Since childhood, the Reliance Industries scion had battled obesity. In an interview with Indian Times In 2017, his mother Nita Ambani revealed that Anant was suffering from a severe asthma attack and had to take steroids.

Vinod Channa, one of India’s most famous fitness and weight loss trainers, has helped several celebrities achieve their fitness goals for many years. He specializes in various aspects of fitness training such as weight management, body transformation, nutritional guidance and diet management. It is headquartered in Bandra, Mumbai.

His clientele includes celebrities like John Abraham, Shilpa Shetty, Arjun Rampal, Harshvardhan Rane, Vivek Oberoi, etc.

In an interview with TOI, Channa revealed that although Anant was determined to lose weight, he also had an overwhelming fondness for junk food. His calorie intake was supposed to be between 1200 and 1500 per day.

Regular workouts

Apart from dietary modifications, Anant also underwent a rigorous exercise regime that included cardio, yoga, strength training, flexibility exercises, etc. The businessman exercised five to six hours every day to achieve this goal. He also walked about 21 kilometers a day. By following this schedule, the entrepreneur was able to lose 108 kg in less than two years!
