Andrew Scott walked away from a red carpet interview with BBC News at the BAFTAs after he was asked inappropriate questions about salty burn star and BAFTA nominee Barry Keoghan.
Scott, who was present along with his All of us strangers Veteran BBC entertainment correspondent Colin Paterson asked his co-star Paul Mescal, because the film was nominated for six awards, including best British film, to chat.
Instead of asking about the critically acclaimed queer drama, Paterson chose to focus on asking Scott what he thought about Keoghan’s penis. In the now viral clip, the correspondent said: “Do you know Barry well?” Scott, who apparently didn’t know where the conversation was going, smiled: “Yes! I know Barry, yes!
Paterson then asked, “Okay, your reaction when you first saw the naked dancing scene at the end of salty burn?” Scott laughed uncomfortably and replied, “He’s great, he’s great.” And he added: “I won’t spoil it for anyone.” Paterson continued to insist on the topic despite Scott’s discomfort: “There was a lot of talk about prosthetics. How well do you know him? Smiling, Scott dismissed Paterson and walked away from the interview.
On social media, many criticized Paterson’s decision to ask these types of questions.
