The “Rizzoli & Isles” star said she is “completely traumatized” by the incident.

Actress Angie Harmon said this week that her family’s dog was shot and killed by a man delivering groceries to her home in North Carolina.

“This Easter weekend, a man delivering groceries for Instacart shot and killed our precious Oliver,” the actress wrote in a post. instagram post Monday. “He got out of his car, delivered the food and THEN shot our dog.”

Harmon said his home security camera was being charged at the time of the incident and had not recorded anything.

“The police let him go (because) he claimed ‘self-defense’. He didn’t have any scratches or bites and his pants weren’t torn,'” Harmon wrote.

The “Rizzoli & Isles” star claimed the delivery driver’s identity did not appear to match the name on the Instacart app, which she said identified the shopper as a woman named Merle.

“He shot our dog with my daughters and I at home and kept saying, ‘Yes, I shot your dog. Yes, I did,'” Harmon wrote. “We are completely traumatized and beyond devastated by the loss of our beloved child and family member. #RIP OLLIE ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ๐ŸŒˆ.”

When contacted by “Good Morning America,” Instacart, which offers grocery delivery services in all 50 states, condemned the incident.

“We are deeply saddened and disturbed to learn of this incident,” Instacart said in a statement. “We do not tolerate violence of any kind and the buyer’s account was immediately suspended from our platform. We have been in direct contact with the customer and are cooperating with authorities in their investigation.”

According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police, a delivery driver told officers Saturday that he was delivering food to the home when the dog attacked him and he fired a single shot in self-defense. Police also said another dog was present in the home but “did not attack.”
