Angie Harmon says Instacart delivery driver shot and killed her dog

Angie Harmon took to social media to share that an Instacart delivery driver shot and killed her dog after leaving her groceries at the door.

“This Easter weekend, a man delivering groceries for Instacart shot and killed our precious Oliver. “He got out of his car, delivered the food and THEN shot our dog,” he said in an Instagram caption of photos of his dog. “Our circle camera was charging at the house, he saw it and then knew it wasn’t being recorded. The police let him go because he claimed it was “self-defense.” He did not have any scratches or bites nor did he have any torn pants.”

He explained that the man was shopping for groceries under a woman’s name, Merle, and shared a photo on his Instagram Story of the shopper’s photo on the Instacart app.

“He shot our dog, my daughters and me at home and kept saying, ‘Yeah, I shot your dog.’ Yes, I did,’” she concluded. “We are completely traumatized and beyond devastated by the loss of our beloved child and family member.”

Instacart shared a statement regarding the incident, noting that they suspended the shopper from the platform and are working with local authorities in their investigation. “We were deeply saddened and disturbed to learn of this incident,” the statement said. “We do not tolerate violence of any kind.”

Harmon also added the post to her Instagram Story, calling out the man who “traumatized” her and her family.

“To the man who took Ollie from us: your actions are despicable and unforgivable. “Not only have you robbed us of a beloved member of our family, but you have also traumatized us beyond measure,” he wrote. “The fact that someone could commit such a cruel act is beyond my comprehension and I am devastated that I was not able to say goodbye.”
