In the midst of the current dispute between the producers of ‘Animalreports have circulated that Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani They have opted for an out-of-court settlement. Bhushan was reported to have paid Khetani Rs 100 million.
When ETimes sought confirmation on the same, both parties chose not to respond. However, a source close to the development said: “T-Series will give Murad Khetani’s company its profit sharing only. The actual amount is in the range of Rs 30 crore.” The source also added, “The intellectual property of the film will also be with T series only.”

The creators of Kabir Singh had petitioned the Delhi court for a stay on the OTT release of Sandeep Vanga Reddy’s film ‘Animal’. Cine1 Private Studio Limited stated in his case against T-Series that the two production companies had reached an agreement to produce ‘Animal’ with a 35 percent share of the film’s profits each.

The studio also alleged in its lawsuit that T-Series incurred expenses to make, promote and release the film and collected box office revenue without sharing any details of the film or paying them any money. However, our source told us, “It is a traditional business practice that T-Series follows in the case of ‘Animal’. And one also knows first that the cost is covered; payment for P&A and OTT is made only after six months. Furthermore, it has been only a month and a half since the movie was released. T-Series definitely intends to honor the profit sharing commitment. And it is stated in the contract that the statement will be shown after 60 days of the release , which is not yet complete.”
The film starred Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna and others. It achieved record business at the box office. ‘Animal’ will start streaming on an OTT platform from January 26.
