Anna Paquin walks red carpet with cane amid health issues


Anna Paquin walked the red carpet for her latest film, some light, directed by her husband and True Blood her co-star Stephen Moyer, with the help of a cane. The Oscar winner has been experiencing undisclosed health issues for the past two years that affect her and her mobility.

“It has not been easy” Paquin told PEOPLE, referring to the need for a cane to walk and the difficulty in speaking. However, a source told the outlet that the actress is expected to make a full recovery.

Despite his health problems, Paquin says he has been very lucky to be able to do what he loves.

“My first love was independent cinema,” he explained.. “That’s how I got into the film industry. I was working with people who were dedicated to telling stories and telling them with integrity and truth.”
