In a new interview, Arbaaz Khan he listed the films he was initially offered in the industry. Arbaaz Khan on Khiladi rejection
Arbaaz revealed why he decided not to choose Khiladi as his first film. He said, “The same directors approached me for another film. I couldn’t do it (the film) because I had signed another director. The film was Khiladi. They offered me Akshay KumarThe paper of. But unfortunately that other movie didn’t get made either.”
Arbaaz said he received $1 lakh as signing amount of the film. Khiladi became a big hit for Akshay Kumar’s career, and Arbaaz starred in Daraar in his acting debut.

Arbaaz added, “After Khiladi, they (Abbas-Mustan) did Baazigar, and then they came to me with Daraar because they still felt they loved me. It was fantastic to share the screen with established actors like Juhi Chawla and Rishi Kapoor. I, a newcomer, faced them and standing by their side and defending myself was not very easy, but fortunately, with the help of the director and his own support as actors, I was really able to do well.”
