Article 370 Twitter Reviews: Actress Yami Gautam is receiving praise on social media for her latest film, Article 370. Several celebrities and movie buffs took to Twitter (now called X) to leave glowing reviews for the political action thriller. Article 370, is produced by Aditya Dhar, known for his directorial work on Uri: The Surgical Strike, which won him the National Film Award for Best Director. Yami Gautam, Priyamani and Arun Govil are among the star cast of the film that hit the theaters on February 23. The release of this film comes ahead of the upcoming parliamentary elections in the country, further intensifying public interest in the depiction of the revocation of Article 370.
The comments
South star Adivi Sesh shared a review of the film on Twitter. “Very rarely does one see a well-crafted political thriller like #Article370. Without a doubt, I got to witness the amazing @yamigautam in her best performance ever. And #PriyaMani garu. Dear @AdityaDharFilms You are now 2 for 2 bhai. The film is grounded and urgent. Thank you for inviting us to the Mumbai preview. Congratulations to the other Aditya, director #AdityaJhambale for a layered debut and congratulations to Lokesh, the entire cast and crew too. Stellar,” she wrote after attending a screening of the film in Mumbai on Thursday.
Trading expert Girish Johar wrote, “MUST SEE!! #Article370 is a gripping story of an important part of Indian history, from a particular point of view. The film is attractive, simple and entertaining. The structuring of the film is attractive, it could have been a little tighter in the editing. #Yami gives a RAGING & ROARING performance and is the soul of the film, while #PriyaMani is magnificently elegant, restrained and is the backbone of the film. BGM and DOP are also excellent.”
One review on Twitter mentioned that the film could have been edited better, but it’s entertaining nonetheless. “#Article370 is SHOCKING. #YamiGautam continues his streak of fabulous performances. With solid writing in the second half, the film has its moments spread out. The cast from #Priyamani to #RajZutshi is at its best. The film starts on an interesting note and moves at its own pace. The pace and narrative pick up speed before the interval and the second half is engaging throughout. The film’s background music and camera work are good. Few gaps, such as the quick and smooth execution of difficult tasks, influence the compelling aspect of events, but nevertheless, such moments are limited.”
Another person wrote, “Yami’s dialogue delivery is perfect. You have to look.” A review prior to the interview said: “Interval #Article370: we have seen quite a few films based on real events that tell a historical event in our country. While most of them are not good at making POV movies, they feel like using your emotions, BUT NOT THIS. Ekdum kadak, raw and real. Yami Gautam. Kamaal Music.”
A tweet said that the film is a must watch for every Indian. “A powerful and energetic audience during the #Article370 movie pre-premiere screening in Houston hosted by @kp_global. It is a must visit for all Indians. It is a gripping film with super action from @yamigautam that will keep you wanting more and more.”
Yami received more praise. One review read: “There are 2 or 3 scenes in #Article370 that show #YamiGautam is improving as an actor with each project. We already have the first outstanding performance of 2024 by an actress and one of the confirmed nominees for the best actress award at next year’s awards ceremonies.”
What PM Modi said about the film
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also spoke about the film at a rally in Jammu. “I have heard that maybe a film on Article 370 will be released this week. I think your ‘Jai Jai Kaar’ (applause) will be heard across the country,” Modi said, addressing a public rally in Maulana. Azad Stadium in the heart of Jammu. The Prime Minister’s remarks, made during his second visit to the Jammu region since the abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019, coincided with the impending release of the film later this week. While he acknowledged his lack of familiarity with the film’s details, Modi highlighted the potential of such productions to provide audiences with accurate information. “I don’t know what the film is about, but I heard on TV yesterday that a film on Article 370 will be released. Well, it will be helpful for people to get correct information,” Modi said.
