Austin Butler opens up about controversial comment he made about his lead role in elvis—when he conveniently forgot to mention in an interview that it was his long-time girlfriend, Vanessa Hudgens, who first suggested he accept the role.
“Oh yeah, I learned a lesson with that: I felt like I was respecting her privacy in some way and I didn’t want to bring up a bunch of stuff that would make her have to talk,” he said. Hudgens is now married to MLB star Cole Tucker, while Butler has been dating model Kaia Gerber since 2022.
