Harry Kane was well known for being susceptible to occasional ankle injuries during his time in Tottenham. While his injury problems have seemingly lessened as the player has aged, this was still a concern that many Bayern Munich fans had at the back of their minds when the player moved to Munich.

During Bayern’s 5-2 win over relegation contenders Darmstadt, Harry Kane’s demons came back to haunt him when he once again injured his ankle during a collision with the goal frame, breaking the net in the process.

After the match, Az journalist Patrick Strasser (via @iMiaSanMia) picked up Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund, speaking about Kane’s injury: “We hope it’s not that serious. He was substituted as a precaution. He will not take any risks with the national team.”

Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel also spoke about the injury (via @iMiaSanMia) explaining: “He collided with the post and sprained his ankle a little; They put ice on his ankle. There is no diagnosis yet, we have to wait. I hope it’s nothing bad”.

Hopefully, Kane will be fit in time for the game against Dortmund on March 30 after the international break. Otherwise, one of Mathys Tel or Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting will probably lead the line.
