Baywatch Star Nicole Eggert has shared a video of herself shaving her head as she continues to be treated for a “very rare form” of breast cancer.
The actress, who played Summer Quinn in Baywatch from 1992 to 1994, posted the video on Instagram earlier this week. As she took the razors to her hair, the Beastie Boys song Fight for your rights provided the soundtrack. She started the process herself and her daughter helped her finish it.
Eggert shared in January that she had been diagnosed with stage 2 cribriform carcinoma after experiencing pain in her left breast.
He accompanied the shaving video with the words:
“Perhaps healing involves not so much changing ourselves as allowing ourselves to be who we are – Madeleine Eames.”
Celebrities like Alyssa Milano and Jennie Garth expressed their support in the comments section of Eggert’s post.
“Grace. You have the greatest grace,” Milano wrote. “It’s inspiring and I thank you.”
“I send you a big hug,” Garth added.
In addition to his leading role in BaywatchEggert’s notable roles include Jamie Powell in the comedy. Carlos in chargestarring Scott Baio (whom she accused of sexually assaulting her when she was a minor. He has denied all accusations).
She also appeared in Super Mario Boss. Super show! AND The boy knows the world.
A friend of Eggert launched a GoFundMe to help with the actress’s medical bills and raised nearly $US48,000 ($73,000).
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Star Kyle Richards, who “goes back” with Eggert “a long time,” donated $1,000.
