“The recommendations are along the lines of increasing first-class and Test match fees three times. While the recommendations of the team management and selectors are being analyzed, it is learned that the board of directors is deliberating to allow a considerable increase in remuneration.
“The board may not agree to increasing the remuneration three times in one go, but they are thinking of meeting the players halfway. Even that should be a considerable increase. That is why the board has not announced the value of contracts. The board will have to decide whether it wants to increase party fees or make specific contracts accordingly,” the source said.
