Beyoncé and Travis Scott could release a new joint on the former’s highly anticipated upcoming album. Cowboy Carter.

A short snippet of the collaborative song can be heard on a sponsored Instagram Story promoting pre-orders for the album, with a brief eight-second spot featuring synths and ad-libs from La Flame. However, neither Bey nor Scott have confirmed the rapper’s appearance on the album, leaving fans waiting for the project’s official release next week.

cowboy carter marks the second chapter of Beyoncé RENAISSANCE trilogy, and although there is much speculation that it is a country album thanks to its previous singles “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM” and “16 CARRIAGES”, the artist herself clarified: “This is not a Country album. “This is a Beyoncé album.” In a long and heartfelt statement she wrote upon revealing the album’s artwork, she wrote:

“This album has been in the making for more than five years. It was born from an experience I had years ago where I did not feel welcome…and I was very clear that I was not. But through that experience, I delved into the history of country music and studied our rich musical archive. It feels good to see how music can unite so many people around the world and at the same time amplify the voices of some of the people who have dedicated much of their lives to educating about our musical history.

The criticism I faced when I first entered this genre forced me to overcome the limitations placed on me. Act II is the result of challenging myself and taking my time to mix and match genres to create this body of work.

I have some surprises on the album and I’ve collaborated with some brilliant artists who I deeply respect. I hope you can hear my heart and soul, and all the love and passion I put into every detail and every sound.”
