Nick Jonas partied with Bhumi Pednekar last month in Mumbai. Priyanka Chopra was missing.
Bhumi Pednekar opened up about partying with Nick Jonas during her recent trip to India with Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas.
Nick Jonas and his Jonas Brothers bandmates, Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas, were in Mumbai to perform for the first time as part of Lollapalooza 2024. After their performance, the trio headed to Natasha Poonawalla’s house for an after-party . Among others, Bhumi Pednekar attended. In an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha, Bhumi spoke about the party and revealed that Priyanka Chopra was a part of the party via video call.
“We actually did (video call Priyanka),” Bhumi said before adding, “They were talking to each other and look, I’m her fan, the world knows it. Then I had a quick moment where I said ‘Hello.’ I get very excited about her because again she is a very strong voice for what I represent. I think she is a great person,” the actress added.
Bhumi also revealed that she attended the Jonas Brothers concert and praised the band. “The concert was phenomenal and they have been so aspirational since our teenage years, you know, Jonas Brothers as a band and them doing this in India for the first time, it was great. We all had to make sure they had a good concert,” he said.
The actress was recently seen in Bhakshak. Bhumi’s performance has been praised by critics and audiences. In a separate chat about the film, Bhumi revealed that she received a call from Shah Rukh once the shooting of the film was over. The actor, who produced the film under her banner Red Chillies Entertainment, called her to thank her for being a part of the film.
“The day we finished the movie, I remember I was having dinner and I thought, ‘Oh, the movie is finished.’ There was going to be a party and we were in Lucknow and I got a call from Shah Rukh sir and you know, he is a very nice man. He just called me to thank me (for doing the film) and I said, ‘Dude, you’re Shah Rukh Khan,'” Bhumi said.
“Congratulations to Red Chillies for supporting this film. They supported this film immediately. They saw the material and this is a story that we must present through our platform. Kudos to Netflix for making a movie like this,” she added. Bhakshak marks Bhumi’s first collaboration with Shah Rukh. Ask her if she hopes to star in a movie with him, she said: “It’s my biggest outing since I was a kid. So I really hope so.” She added that she would like to star in a romantic movie with him.
