Big names make splash during NBA Celebrity All-Star Game in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS – Some big names walked the red carpet in downtown Indianapolis ahead of Friday night’s NBA Celebrity All-Star Game.

Among the top celebrities participating in the festivities at Lucas Oil Stadium were WNBA and Seattle Storm All-Star guard Jewell Lloyd and ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith. The two spoke with FOX59 and CBS4’s Hannah Follman before the celebrity game.

Others competing in the contest included Houston Texans quarterback CJ Stroud, Dallas Cowboys pass rusher Micah Parsons, singer Walker Hayes, retired Indiana Pacer Metta World Peace, Phoenix Mercury guard Natasha Cloud , Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua, and musician Adam Blackstone.

Smith and former Super Bowl champion Shannon Sharpe, co-host of “First Take” on ESPN with Smith, hosted the Celebrity All-Star Game. Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Lil Wayne and Las Vegas Aces center A’Ja Wilson helped Sharpe and Smith.

Team Shannon won the game, defeating Team Stephen A., 100-91. Parsons earned game MVP honors, racking up 37 points, 16 rebounds and four steals.
