Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui has responded to claims that this season’s winner was ‘fixed’. in a interview With ETimes, the comedian was asked to react when people called him a ‘fixed winner’. Munawar ‘responds to people calling him a set winner’
When asked about the fixation of Bigg Boss 17 winner, Munawar Faruqui said, “Yaar, the fixed winner ko itna sab goes through karna pade toh, he cannot be a fixed winner (if one has to go through as much scrutiny as a supposed fixed winner, then it can’t really be a fixed winner. If I had been a fixed winner, I would have had everything on a plate. Pura season gawah hai (The whole season is proof) that I have nothing on a plate, I have worked hard and a lot. My response to people who call me a set winner is, ‘Just sit back and watch the whole season and you’ll realize it wasn’t a set.'”
He added: “That said, people can have that feeling because, when you have a strong fan base and you do reality shows like this, there are a lot of things at stake and you lose some things. To win things, then you give it up.” the best you can. Since Munawar Faruqui’s win on Bigg Boss, actor Abhishek Kumar, who came in second place, has been trending on X (formerly known as Twitter). Some Bigg Boss viewers say Abhishek deserved to win the trophy more than Munawar. However, some reports suggest that Munawar won the trophy with a huge difference in votes. Actor Mannara Chopra came third and actor Ankita Lokhande came fourth in Bigg Boss 17. Also in the top five was YouTuber Arun Mahashetty.
As part of the victory, Munawar received the Bigg Boss 17 trophy, a stylish new car and a grand cash prize of $50 lakh. Interestingly, this is the second time that Munawar has won a reality show after Lock Upp season 1 in 2022. Abhishek gave Munawar a big hug after the latter was declared the winner by actor-host Salman Khan at the grand Bigg Boss 17 finale on Sunday. Abhishek was also seen touching Salman’s feet after the winner was announced and hugged him. “Very well played, Abhishek,” Salman told the actor.
