Melissa McCarthy was the ultimate fan in the SAG Awards on Saturday when she asked Billie Eilish for an autograph on stage.
But not just any autograph.
Eilish ended up signing her name, in permanent marker, right on McCarthy’s forehead as the pair presented the award for outstanding performance by an actress in a comedy series.
McCarthy had originally asked Eilish to sign her dress because she was “trying to be more present when making memories.”
The “What Was I Made For” singer politely declined and told her she didn’t want to “ruin” her dress. McCarthy turned to her backup plan, here’s how they landed on her face somehow being the perfect canvas for an autograph.
As McCarthy attempted to continue gushing about Eilish while she was mid-signing, the singer hilariously covered McCarthy’s mouth as the audience roared with laughter.
The funny trick came after “Little Mermaid” The actress began the couple’s presentation by talking about how much of a fan she is of Eilish.
“We’ve actually met before,” McCarthy said, later correcting herself by saying they had actually met three times. “And you have met my daughters. And one of my dogs.”
He went on to say that he met Eilish “in the womb” before she was even born, because Eilish’s mother, Maggie Baird, was McCarthy’s improv teacher years ago.
“And guess who she was pregnant with,” McCarthy said. “Was you!”
The only question that remains is exactly how long it will take McCarthy to remove that permanent marker from his face… if he has any plans to do so.
