Billie Eilish separated from her boyfriend after Christian Bale’s dream

Billie Eilish needed a vision about Batman to realize everything she wanted.

In an interview with Amelia Dimoldenberg before the Academy Awards, the “When the Party’s Over” singer revealed that she had a revelation about her personal life after dreaming about a movie star.

Eilish confirmed that the Caped Crusader is her favorite superhero, saying, “I don’t really know much about superheroes. The dark knight…I have to be real. A couple of years ago I had a dream about Christian Bale and he was in a little cafe in the sunlight, and he made me realize that I had to break up with my boyfriend at that time. Truly. “I woke up and came to my senses.”

The topic came up when the singer and her brother and co-writer, Finneas O’Connell, discussed the writing of their 2016 song “Ocean Eyes.”

“Did you write ‘Ocean Eyes’ about Cillian Murphy?” Dimoldenberg asked jokingly, referring to the oppenheimer the penetrating gaze of the star. Eilish passed the question to his brother. “Ask him, because he wrote that. And yes, probably.”

O’Connell, half jokingly, confirmed Dimoldenberg’s suggestion. “I probably wrote it about Cillian,” he said. “Yes, big fan of Cillian’s eyes on Dunkirk.” (That film, however, came out a year after “Ocean Eyes,” so the timeline of that specific project that inspires the song doesn’t quite match up.)

Eilish and O’Connell are nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Song for “What Was I Made For?” from the Barbie soundtrack and is scheduled to be performed at the ceremony on March 10. The duo previously won an Academy Award for “No Time to Die” at the 2022 ceremony, beating out artists including Beyoncé, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Diane Warren and Van Morrison.
