Blake Lively has apologized for mocking Kate Middleton’s Mother’s Day “Photoshop fail” after the royal announced she had been diagnosed with cancer.

“I’m sure no one cares today, but I feel like I have to admit it,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories on Friday. “I made a silly post about the ‘Photoshop fail’ frenzy and oh man, that post has me mortified today.”

The “Green Lantern” actress, 36, concluded her message by writing, “I’m sorry. Sending love and good wishes to everyone, always. ❤️”.

Last week, Lively apparently trolled the Princess of Wales, 42, after Middleton’s Mother’s Day image with her three children was pulled from photo agencies amid accusations that it had been doctored.

“I’m so excited to share this new photo I just took today to announce our 4 new products @bettybuzz and @bettybooze!” The “Gossip Girl” alum captioned the now-deleted Instagram photo, in which several things appeared to have been digitally manipulated.

“Now you know why I’ve been missing.”

Although Lively’s post came amid growing conspiracy theories about Middleton’s whereabouts after her abdominal surgery in January, all rumors were put to rest on Friday when she shared her shocking diagnosis.

“In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time my condition was thought to be non-cancerous,” he said in the video message filmed by BBC Studios. “The surgery was successful. However, tests carried out after the operation revealed that there was cancer.”

Middleton said her medical teams advised her to “undergo preventative chemotherapy treatment,” which she said is now in the early stages of.
