‘Blood and Honey’ sweeps five Razzie categories, including worst picture

slasher movie Winnie-the-Pooh: blood and honey swept all five categories for which it was nominated at the 44th annual Razzies, which “honor” the worst in cinema. The awards were announced today.

‘Winnie the Pooh’ won the Razzie in the categories of film, director, screenplay, pair of screenplays and remake/copy/sequel. The film, based on the beloved children’s literary character, follows Pooh and Piglet, who have become savage, bloodthirsty killers. They terrorize a group of young university girls and the return of Christopher Robin.

The Razzie Redeemer Award, given to a previous contender who has “moved on to better things” since being nominated for a Razzie, went to “The Nanny” actress and SAG-AFTRA president Fran Drescher for her leadership during the actors strike of 2023.

Drescher was nominated in 1998 for worst actress in a romantic comedy film. The beautician and the beast.

According to the Razzie website, more than 1,100 Razzie members from across the United States and about two dozen other countries vote for the awards.
