In December 2023, Bobby Deol shared that his character in Kanguva goes beyond his usual comfort zone.
Bobby Deol will celebrate his 55th birthday on Saturday, January 27. On this special day, the makers of his upcoming film Kanguva surprised everyone by releasing the first poster of the actor. On the poster, Bobby Deol looked “ruthless, powerful and unforgettable.” He wore long, messy hair and a bone necklace with blood marks. Deol was also seen surrounded by hundreds of people while he kept a stern expression on his face.
Kanguva marks the Tamil debut of Bobby Deol. In December 2023, the actor shared that his character in Suriya goes beyond his usual comfort zone. “This role is definitely out of my comfort zone, plus I don’t know the language, so again it’s totally out of my zone. I can’t even learn Tamil in a month or two, but I will work on it,” he told India Today.
Studio Green, in association with UV Creations, is producing Kanguva, starring Suriya, on a large scale. The film has kept the expectation meter rising significantly since its release point. With the big announcement that the film will be released in 10 languages in 3D format, the trade circles are abuzz with excitement for the film.
Featuring Suriya and Disha Patani as the lead characters, the film is directed by Siva, the creator of many blockbusters in his career. Other star actors of the film will be revealed in due time. The film has cinematography by Vetri Palanisamy and musical score by ‘Rockstar’ Devi Sri Prasad. Reportedly, Suriya has wrapped up the shoot of the film.
Earlier, Siva spoke about his direction when he said, “I worked on this script four years ago. Suriya loved it and so did Gnavavel Raja. Suriya was sincere about the role and his makeover to play it was physically demanding.”
The release date of Kanguva has not been announced as of now.
