Quentin Tarantino reunites with a former collaborator for his directorial swan song.
Brad Pitt is in talks to star”pulp fiction“The next film from the director “The Movie Critic”, according to reports from Deadline and Variety.

Pitt would be the first known cast member of Tarantino’s “The Movie Critic,” which is expected to be based on a real film critic whom the director admires. Tarantino said Deadline in 2023 that the film is set in California in 1977 “and is based on a guy who actually lived, but was never really famous, and used to write movie reviews for a porn newspaper.”
It was not immediately clear whether Pitt, 60, will play the film’s lead critic, although Tarantino previously told Deadline that the film’s star would be a “new lead for me” and would be around 35 years old.

Pitt won the oscar for best supporting actor for Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” in which he played a stuntman, Cliff Booth, alongside Leonardo Dicaprio in 1969 Hollywood. Tarantino, 60, has said for many years that he plans to retire from film directing after his 10th film to maintain consistently high quality in his filmography. “I know the history of cinema and from now on the directors do not improve,” he said in “Real Time with Bill Maher” in 2021.
