Brandan and Mary Denucciõ are facing scrutiny, after apparently recanting their claim that she had colon cancer, following their fundraising efforts.
The couple, who star in the reality series 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way and married last year, closed their GoGetFunding fundraising page after admitting that Mary had not been diagnosed but had been experiencing symptoms. which she seen in TikTok videos.
Brandan, 24, posted on Instagram over the weekend about the fundraising page he created to help pay for surgery to ‘remove (Mary’s) colon cancer’ and ‘save her life.’
“We need help, not trials,” he added in the post. On the page, Mary, 24, wrote that she had been “diagnosed with colon cancer” on Friday, after experiencing on-and-off symptoms since high school, which she thought were “normal.”
However, after some began to doubt the claims, the couple clarified that there was no official diagnosis and that they were still waiting for the results.
Their GoGetFunding page has since been shut down and a message appeared saying: “GoGetFunding has been requested or required to stop this campaign.”
First, it was unclear whether the company’s Brandon and Mary stopped the campaign, which raised about $1,300 before it closed.
But a GoGetFunding representative has since said TMZ that they stopped the campaign, after users flagged it as suspicious and after they felt they had enough evidence to remove it.
As for donations, there is no clear path for refunds, and the representative suggested that anyone who donated and has since changed their mind will have to dispute the charges with their banks.
However, Brandan and Mary told TMZ that they were the ones who stopped the campaign due to people’s negative comments.
Mary told the publication: ‘I know I announced I have colon cancer. That time he was very scared because he was in pain and had all the symptoms. But we are still going back and forth to the hospital and have done all the labs requested by the doctors.’
He also added that he would no longer publish on the matter.
The couple previously issued a statement backtracking on their initial statement, writing, “To be clear: We do not know if Mary has colon cancer yet.” Yes, she posted on her IG that she has colon cancer because she watches TikTok videos about colon cancer symptoms and she has it all.
“And on February 16 we went to the CENTER and did a check-up and the nurse said that maybe she had a urinary tract infection or appendicitis and possible colon cancer, so Mary is very scared.”
‘Then the nurse referred us to admit Mary to the city hospital and we went there the next day. We went to the ER and talked to the doctor and the doctor said Mary needs lab work first, so we did it.
‘We go to the laboratory and make him urinate and defecate in a cup and do a blood test. And we wait for the result. After an hour, the result is there and the doctor also said that Mary has a blood infection.
‘And Mary needs FULL ABDOMEN ULTRASOUND and X-RAYS. And we did it. And then we got the result. The result is in our hands right now and we have to go back to the hospital tomorrow to hand it over to the OPD to analyze the result of her ultrasound and X-ray.’

Meanwhile, Mary posted on her Instagram discussing her financial problems after her Facebook page was reported.
‘You gave up my Facebook and that’s the only one that helps me earn money for my son and my family. I do not know what to do now. I lost my courage, I lost my faith. Seeing all your comments gives me a lot of pain.’

Mary also posted a photo of them in the hospital with a long caption thanking Brandan for being with her in her “worst moments.”
Maria welcomed her daughter Midnight in August. She became pregnant just three months after Brandan moved from the United States to the Philippines to be with her.
The couple first rose to fame after appearing on season 5 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, which premiered in July 2023.
They had been dating virtually for over two years and Brandan was planning to visit Mary in the Philippines for the first time.
Despite some ups and downs in their relationship, he proposed to Mary on an October 2023 episode of the show. The couple said ‘I do’ in April 2023.
