In honor of Black History Month, Midland University and the Black Student Union have several events planned throughout the month.

On Tuesday, February 6th, there will be a special lunch in the cafeteria from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The menu will highlight the rich culinary heritage of the Black community with traditional dishes.

Friday, February 16th, will feature Focus Friday at noon in Anderson 304. This extra credit opportunity includes a selected panel of educators and students who will provide insight into the world of self-privilege.

The MU’s Got Talent competition is set for Wednesday, February 21st, at 6:30 p.m. at Eppley Auditorium. Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers. The competition is open to all students as well as faculty and staff.

Black History Month will conclude on Tuesday, February 27th, as treats and refreshments will be provided by BSU to all students.

There will also be a display on the windows of the Luther Library throughout the month, featuring a timeline of many African-American influencers, athletes, and celebrities.
