Alcock was cast as Supergirl in the DC Universe at large and not just in her standalone film “Supergirl: World of Tomorrow,” whose director will now have no say in casting the lead role.
Ana Nogueira (“The Vampire Diaries”) is writing the script for “Supergirl: World of Tomorrow.” Variety reported shortly after Alcock’s casting announcement that DC is looking to hire a director for the film in the coming weeks.
