The process of determining what the brand would be took a long time, Shaik said. He created mood boards for years before launching.

“More skin care, maybe move towards that instead of doing so much makeup,” she said, citing Korean beauty routines.

“I think Korean skin care and beauty is the future. They have a very natural approach but then they have that scientific approach of not using as many ingredients. Our products must be very simple.”
