He continued: “Those who have been fortunate enough to be here at the Grammy Awards should never take for granted the tremendous love and joy that music brings to our lives and to people around the world.”

The Grammy winner presented the last award of the night, saying that it gave her “great joy” to do so and remembering that “two legends, Diana Ross and Sting, presented them to me 27 years ago.”

Dion presented the award to Taylor Swift, who made history by becoming the artist with the most wins in that category.

This same week it was announced that Amazon’s Prime Video had acquired the rights to I am: Celine Diona documentary directed by Irene Taylor that gives an insight into the singer’s life in the midst of her medical diagnosis.

“These last few years have been a huge challenge for me, the journey from discovering my condition to learning to live with it and manage it, but not letting it define me,” Dion said of the film.

She added: “As the path to resuming my acting career continues, I have realized how much I have missed it, being able to see my fans. During this absence, I decided that I wanted to document this part of my life, to try to raise awareness about this little-known condition and to help other people who share this diagnosis.”
