Celine Dion posed in a photo with her children in a post to raise awareness about stiff person syndrome.
The singer was diagnosed with a rare and incurable neurological disease in 2022. The disease restricts mobility causing extreme muscle stiffness and painful spasms.
“Trying to overcome this autoimmune disorder has been one of the most difficult experiences of my life, but I remain determined to one day return to the stage and live as normal a life as possible,” she wrote in an Instagram post for International. MSF Awareness Day. “I am deeply grateful for the love and support of my children, my family, my team and all of you!”
In the image, Dion is with her children, twins Eddy and Nelson, 13, and her eldest, René-Charles Angelil, 23.

SPS affects only one or three people in a million, and mostly women.
Dion’s sister said last September that the singer was “doing everything she can to recover,” but since not much is known about SPS “there is little we can do to support her and ease her pain.”
Despite her continued struggle, Dion recently made a rare public appearance as a presenter at the Grammys.
