Jared McCann scored twice, and Daccord made 28 saves for the Kraken (23-21-11), who had won two straight.

“The point is a real important point,” Seattle coach Dave Hakstol said. “It’s disappointing to lose the point in overtime, but the point that we got is valuable.”

Seider gave the Red Wings a 1-0 lead at 13:30 of the first period with a one-timer through a screen off a pass from Kane.

McCann tied it 1-1 at 18:32 with a power-play goal, scoring from the left face-off dot after receiving a feed from Vince Dunn.

“The last few games have been good for us and we’re heading in the right direction,” McCann said. “But every single game here is must-win, so we’ve got to come in with that mindset.”

Raymond put the Red Wings back in front 2-1 at 7:18 of the second period by putting a rebound into an open net.

McCann responded again to tie it 2-2 at 10:51. He swept a rebound through Lyon from the top of the crease.

“The ‘D’ made a good play to keep the puck in,” McCann said. “We’ve been practicing kind of backside shots for the ‘D,’ and [Jamie Oleksiak] made a good play there to just try to put it there for me, and I just tried to bang it in.”

Sprong put Detroit ahead 3-2 on a 2-on-1 rush with Christian Fischer at 15:58.

“Great on the finish, and that’s what (Sprong) does,” Lalonde said. “He doesn’t need much for offense, and he had some more looks in the third that could have iced the game.”
