Christie Brinkley He is “finally happy” when he looks in the mirror.

On Tuesday, the former supermodel took to Instagram to celebrate her 70th birthday.

In her mirror selfies, Brinkley posed in a white Alo sports bra and black leggings while flexing her biceps for the photos.

“Looking in the mirror on my 70th birthday and what I see” she started her title that reads like a poem. “I’m finally happy with the person who looks at me. I am no longer critical and demanding, now I am grateful and understanding.”

She continued: “I’ve put this body through this. I have broken every bone, in small miracles I am all healed in my heart and soul I am home. It took me 70 years to get here, through tears and joy I found my happiness, so now I’m going to finish this poem, before I get too cheesy!

Christie concluded her caption by wishing herself a “Happy Birthday!”

The mother of three received praise in her comments section.

“You look amazing!!! And you exude confidence!” wrote one user. Another added: “You are a shining light in this world and one of my favorite people to follow for your consistently upbeat posts. Keep shining, babe.” .

Ahead of her milestone birthday, the Sports Illustrated model has been celebrating. Brinkley posted a carousel of photos of her earlier this month of her and two of her children vacationing in Turks and Caicos.

The photos show her sitting in a beach hut and her and her children smiling under a balloon arch and a happy birthday banner.

“We got here just in time for a golden sunset at Lucky House,” she captioned the post. “And swipe to see what the kids did in our living room so I don’t forget I’m turning 70 on Friday! Isn’t that so SWEET?

Speaking to People in January 2024, ahead of her milestone birthday, Brinkley admitted that it had led the model to think about all the things she still wants to achieve in life.

“I have yet to see India,” he shared. “I’ve never been to Tahiti or Thailand. I also want to go to Bali. I have to eat, pray and love.”

Brinkley told the outlet that she is approaching 70 “with a lot of reverence and excitement.” She explained that she feels similar to herself when she turned 50 and said that both birthdays are “a time when you look back and look forward.”

“The big 7-0 is another one of those (ages) that are up there in giant block numbers looming over us,” he told the outlet. “At 62, you start to think, ‘Well, I’m almost 70.’ He cast a shadow over that entire decade.”

Although she initially thought she was going to throw “a big party,” she admitted to being so busy that she didn’t have time to plan much.

“That’s absolutely fine with me,” Brinkley said.

The actress made a splash as a model after being discovered in Paris in 1973. She went on to make history several times as a model, in addition to appearing in popular films and television shows.

In addition to being a highly successful model, Brinkley is also a proud mother of three children and has started many successful businesses. Looking ahead, she won’t let her aging stop her from taking on new projects.
