Christina Applegate ‘fainted’ at the 2024 Emmys, MS is ‘hell’

Christina Applegate got candid about living with multiple sclerosis and her rare appearance at this year’s Emmys. in a teaser clip for an upcoming interview in “Good Morning America.”

“I live like in hell. “I don’t go out much, so this is a little tough, just for my system,” Applegate, 52, told “GMA” host Robin Roberts, 63, about his ongoing battle.

“But of course the support is wonderful and I’m very grateful.”

The “Married… With Children” star, who was joined in the interview by Jamie-Lynn Sigler, also poked fun at her appearance at the January awards show.

“Were you able to enjoy the ovation?” -Roberts asked.

“Actually, I fainted,” Applegate responded. “People were like, ‘Oh, you were so funny,’ and I was like, ‘I don’t even know what I said.’ I don’t know what he was doing.’”

“I got so scared I didn’t even know what was happening anymore,” he continued. “And I felt really loved, and it was a beautiful thing.”

She joked: “I probably shouldn’t say this, that audience stood up for everyone.”

Appelgate’s removal from the public eye came after he hinted at retirement in February 2023.

“It’s probably my last awards show as an actor, so it’s a big deal,” he told Los Angeles Times in a profile prior to that month’s SAG Awards.

“At this point, I couldn’t imagine getting up at 5am and spending 12 to 14 hours on a set; No have that in me right now,” he continued.

Applegate was filming the third and final season of her Netflix comedy “Dead to Me” when she was diagnosed with MS.

“Jen Harding is who, who knows, may very well be the last one I’ll play,” he says. told variety in 2022 regarding his character. “With my illness, I don’t know how capable I am. But this was a gift. “This was a gift to me.”
