The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences hosted its annual Oscar nominees luncheon at the Beverly Hilton on Monday.
Most of this year’s nominees attended the event, their last chance to be together in a relaxed atmosphere before the 96th Oscars next month. The group mingled, dined and posed for the Academy’s annual class photo, filling stands in the Hilton ballroom.

Today’s heavy guest list of actors and directors only included the likes of Sterling K. Brown, Emma Stone, Paul Giamatti, Steven Spielberg, Lily Gladstone, Celine Song, Cord Jefferson, Margot Robbie, Jeffrey Wright, Annette Bening, Colman Domingo, Ava DuVernay, Billie Eilish, Sandra Hüller, Bradley Cooper, Emily Blunt, Greta Gerwig, Cillian Murphy, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Christine Vachon, Ryan Gosling, Robert Downey Jr and more.
It produced some memorable moments, such as when oppenheimerIt’s Christopher Nolan and Flower Moon KillersMartin Scorsese exchanged handshakes in the stands with Gladstone sitting between them.
Oppenheimer and Killers of the Flower Moon have a total of 23 Oscar nominations between them.
The 96th Academy Awards are scheduled for Sunday, March 10, 2024 at the Dolby Theater at Ovation Hollywood, will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and will air live on ABC.
