Netflix previewed its 2024 series and movie lineup at its Next on Netflix event Wednesday in Los Angeles. The TV slate includes several high-profile scripted series, which will launch new seasons this year (no specific dates yet): The night agent (Season 2), the sixth and final season of Cobra Kai, Emily in Paris (Season 4), External banks (Season 4), and Monsters: The Story of Lyle and Erik Menéndezthe second installment of Ryan Murphy’s true crime anthology series.
They join the previously announced returns for 2024 of Squid Game (Season 2), Bridgerton (Season 3) and The diplomat (Season 2).
Also scheduled for release in 2024 is the eighth and final season of EliteSeason 3 of heartbreaker, Sweet tooth and Vikings: Valhallaas well as season 2 of That ’90s show, The Empress and docuseries Fully operationalwhich launches on March 6.
New Netflix series debuting in 2024 include the untitled Mike Schur/Ted Danson comedy, inspired by the documentary. The mole agentthe untitled Erin Foster comedy series starring Kristen Bell and Adam Brody, as well as the animated series exploding kittens and Terminator.

Since Hollywood’s double strike halted writing and production for six months last year, it was unclear which American series would make the 2024 slate; Emily in Paris fo instance just started filming its fourth season earlier this month while The night agent I was still looking for new roles for season 2 over the holidays. Several other hit Netflix series, including Stranger Things, Wednesday, Ginny and Georgia and virgin river, It won’t release new episodes until 2025.
The streamer has also released a video highlighting its 2024 film and TV slate, including first footage of season 2 Squid Gamewith Seong Gi-hun from Emmy winner Lee Jung-jae, from season 3 of Bridgerton, which features a romantic moment between Penelope (Nicola Coughlin) and Colin (Luke Newton); from the sixth and final season of Cobra Kai, fourth and final season of The Umbrella Academy, External banks (Season 4), Sweet tooth (Season 3) as well as American primitive black pigeons and Eric, along with flashes of Avatar: The Last Airbender, 3 body problem as well as the return of Eddie Murphy as Axel Foley in the upcoming film. Additionally, Netflix announced 16 titles for its Games of 2024 slate. Other titles include Braid, Anniversary Edition, Chicken Run: Eggstraction, Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit, Dumb Ways To Survive, Game Dev Tycoon, Harmonium: The Musical, Katana Zero, Monument Valley 1 and 2, Paper Trail, The Rise of the Golden Idoland Sonic Mania Plus.
