Veteran Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan spoke at length about his personal and professional life while coming to a Humans of Bombay podcast. Dhawan did not hesitate to share some personal chapters of his life, especially regarding his marriage and his son. The cricketer, who will lead the Punjab Kings in the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) season, also spoke about his professional life and the inspiration he sought from players like Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, etc Dhawan also spoke about the ‘law of attraction’ with host Karishma Mehta and made a cheeky pun while talking about the topic on the show.
Dhawan claimed to be a big believer when it comes to the ‘law of attraction’. The presenter said that she too believes in the theory and, in fact, recently attended a workshop on it.

Anchor: When it comes to the law of attraction, I’m a big believer. In fact, yesterday we had a manifestation workshop with a Ph.D. in metaphysical counseling.
Dhawan: Did you attract me too?
Anchor: I’m sure this interview appeals to me 100%.
Dhawan also spoke about the lessons he learned from the great Sachin Tendulkar, including dedication and love for the game.
“He learned the dedication, love he has for the game and knowledge from Sachin Paaji. He used to decipher the weight of the willow quite easily, which shows his deep knowledge about the game. He used to know how to swing a bat “…so he was very involved. Of course, he taught how to build the innings and eventually reach a century,” Dhawan said in the interview.
Dhawan is not in the scheme of things as far as international cricket is concerned, and his only focus, at the moment, is IPL duties with the Punjab Kings.
