Apple’s new and most expensive product to date, the Vision Pro headphones, received a great reception upon its launch on February 2 of this year. But now, Apple fans are lining up at stores to return the high-tech product.

The Apple Vision Pro is currently the most expensive Apple product, priced at $3,499 and has a 14-day return policy, which is now used by several customers.

Apple’s new mixed reality headset has sparked reports of headaches, vision problems and dizziness, prompting a spike in product returns less than a month after its launch, The US Sun reported.

An X user named Rjey wrote: “I can’t wait to return the Vision Pro, probably the coolest piece of technology I’ve ever tried. However, I can’t stand these headaches after 10 minutes of use. Just for the record, I have tried other VR headsets before and have never had headaches of any kind.”

Another user tweeted that the headphones made him dizzy, leading to sensory overload. In a review, The Verge’s Parker Ortolani wrote that the headphones were too uncomfortable to wear and put a lot of strain on the eyes.

Users said the Apple Vision Pro headphones “work like magic,” but the physical consequences of using them aren’t worth it, prompting a wave of returns. It should be noted that Apple previously warned that headphones can aggravate some health problems.

Apple said in a disclaimer that the Vision Pro headphones may trigger some existing health problems and “increase the risk of injury or discomfort.” Some of these problems included headaches, vertigo, vision problems, inner ear discomfort, seizures, skin problems, and more.

Apple suggests limited use

Apple suggests that one should start using augmented reality headsets and not start with long hours. The iPhone maker recommended customers “start using Apple Vision Pro gradually to adapt” and take regular breaks.

Apple’s website says: “Immersive content that has a higher chance of causing certain people to experience motion sickness is labeled in the App Store as high motion.”
