Brooklyn, N.Y. – The Duquesne University men’s basketball team earned an 11 seed in the 2024 NCAA Tournament and will face No. 6 seed BYU in Omaha, Neb., Thursday, March 21. The Dukes, making their first appearance in the Big Dance since 1977, earn an automatic bid to the 2024 NCAA Tournament after winning the 2024 Atlantic 10 Championship with a 57-51 win over VCU Sunday at the Barclays Center.

“Excitement,” senior guard Dae Dae Grant said. “It’s an encouraging challenge for us. We’ll be ready. We’ll go out there and compete and look forward to the game. We believe in ourselves and each other. We’ve played high-major teams before. We’ve played high-major players. Basketball is basketball and March is March. Anybody can be beaten. You just have to believe in one another.”

Grant was named the 2024 Atlantic 10 Championship Most Outstanding Player after scoring 10 points in the title game against the Rams. He averaged 16.3 points, 2.3 rebounds and 3.5 assists while shooting 42.6 percent (23-for-54) from the floor in four games of the championship.

Requests for tickets will be prioritized by lifetime giving to Duquesne University Athletics and the number of years as a season ticket holder. If any tickets remain after exhausting the team ticket allotment, a lottery system to offer individuals the opportunity to purchase seats will be used. The details and process for the lottery system will be provided Tuesday, March 19. Ticket prices ranges from $90 to $120 and are only available for the session in which the Dukes play. Ticket location will be determined by the Athletics Department. If you want to be assured tickets, Duquesne encourages purchasing directly from the NCAA or the secondary market.
