Elisabeth Moss’s family is growing.

He The Handmaid’s Tale and mad Men The star revealed that she is pregnant with her first child during a appearance in Jimmy Kimmel live Tuesday. “Are you pregnant or are you just an incredibly committed method actor?” host Jimmy Kimmel jokingly asked.

“A little bit of both,” Moss responded, adding: “I’ve been very lucky. It’s going very well.”

Moss, 41, asked Kimmel, a father of four, for advice about the hospital. “I wanted to ask him if he had any advice,” he said. “Things to buy, take to the delivery room, anything?”

Kimmel shared the advice his wife received from Bill Murray years ago: “He said, ‘Bring Christmas lights to hang or beads of some kind, a nightlight.’ He said, ‘Bring music,’ and everyone tells you ‘You’ll want to bring some music.’ He said, ‘Bring candles,’ which we brought candles, and they said, ‘You can’t light candles in here.’ There’s oxygen in this room.’ “So bring a battery-operated candle if you want a candle.”

Kimmel then revealed why Murray’s advice is spot on. “You’re right because the lighting in the room is terrible,” he said. “It’s like it’s Wal-Mart-style lighting for this blessed event that’s going to happen, and you don’t want that, do you?”

When Moss later said that the sixth and final season of The maid Tale would begin filming this summer, Kimmel joked, “Have you started blaming (the delay) on the kid?”

“I can’t wait to start doing that!” -Moss responded-.

When Kimmel insisted he could start doing that right away, Moss said, “Can I? Oh, that’s the best. I love it.” He then whispered thanks towards his abdomen.

Moss also stars in the thriller series. The veil, which will premiere on Hulu in April. The series led the actress to visit the hospital for reasons completely unrelated to her pregnancy.

“We trained for weeks and weeks and weeks,” he said of a climactic fight sequence. “And apparently it may not have been enough, because on the first take… I went and did the wrong thing, it was no one’s fault, and I ran into a wall and actually broke my back. I fractured a vertebra.” Moss said he continued filming the series the day after the accident.
