Emma Stone feels sorry.
The Oscar-winning actress has confirmed that while there is no bad blood between her and her old friend Taylor Swift following her failed prank at the Golden Globes in January, she certainly won’t be making fun of her friend again.
In a new interview with Variety Alongside “Poor Things” director Yorgos Lanthimos, the 35-year-old said she received backlash from Swifties after calling “Cruel Summer” a “jerk” backstage in January.
“I’m definitely not going to make a joke like that again,” Stone said. “Because I saw headlines that really took it out of context.”
“What a fool,” she added, pointing to herself.
The duo made headlines when their friendship was revealed on Jan. 7 after the “La La Land” star took home the Best Actress trophy for her role in “Poor Things.”
When the “Easy A” star’s name was announced as the winner, the “Wildest Dreams” singer and her friend Keleigh Sperry gave the actress a standing ovation.
“What an idiot, right?” Stone joked backstage when asked about the pop star’s support.
“I’ve known her for almost 20 years, so I’m very happy she was there. She was nominated tonight too, so I’m really happy she was there, but what an idiot.”
The pair have been close friends since their paths first crossed in 2008 at the Young Hollywood Awards.
While they’ve kept tight-lipped about their friendship over the years, the duo have been spotted hanging out several times, including at the New York premiere of Stone’s “Poor Things” in December.

And although the “The Amazing Spider-Man” actress hasn’t offered many details about her friendship with Swift, she has. he told Vanity Fair in June that Swift helped her get tickets to her sold-out Eras Tour.
“I was lucky because we’ve been friends for a long time,” Stone said of the “You’re on Your Own, Kid” hitmaker.
“I’ve known her since we were 17 and 18, so she hooked me up, which was really nice because I know those tickets are impossible to get.”
“She is a wonderful friend. “She blows my mind,” Stone added.
