  • “The Boys” star Erin Moriarty slammed Megyn Kelly in an Instagram post on Friday.
  • Kelly earlier this month speculated that Moriarty underwent plastic surgery.
  • Moriarty called Kelly’s video “misogynistic” and “inaccurate.”

“The Boys” star Erin Moriarty called Megyn Kelly’s claims that she had plastic surgery “disgustingly false.”

On Friday, Moriarty addressed the former Fox News host’s comments in a long instagram post. The post came nearly two weeks after Kelly discussed the 29-year-old’s facial features and speculated about plastic surgery on her podcast. “The Megyn Kelly Show”.

“I find it a sign of mental illness,” Kelly said during the show. “It’s extremely disturbing. It’s a huge turn-off for me. I really want to get into these young girls’ heads and say, ‘Please don’t do this.'”

Kelly referred to a Instagram photo now deleted of Moriarty that went viral on

“We are all subject to levels of harassment throughout our lives, but I am horrified and felt like I deserved to take a second to address these things,” Moriarty wrote on Instagram.

Moriarty said he didn’t know the Instagram photo had drawn attention because he was dealing with “one of the most challenging weeks of my life.”

“Receiving a message about a disgustingly fake video, counterproductive to the point of being ironically misogynistic, of Megyn Kelly commenting on the manner, and learning the widespread nature of this has left me horrified,” Moriarty wrote.

Moriarty went on to say that the “before” photo Kelly used as a comparison was taken about a decade ago. He called the allegations “completely misinformed.”

“I did my makeup that day and it involved major contouring and I remember leaving feeling pretty,” Moriarty wrote.

He added: “I saw the comments, scathing enough to just turn them off. But this is turning into harassment. It’s turning into fake news.”

Moriarty concluded the post by telling her 1.9 million followers that she is leaving Instagram because “horrible accusations” and “verbal abuse” have left her disillusioned.

“Shame on you, Megyn Kelly. Shame on you, Fox News (Vought incarnate),” Moriarty wrote, referring to Vought International, a fictional corporation portrayed as evil in “The Boys.” “Insinuating that my photo reflects that women are in a worse place is as false as my belief in saying that if you resign, you would leave women in a better place.”

Representatives for Kelly did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Business Insider.

Moriarty has confronted and tackled internet trolls in the past. In September 2022, Moriarty shared a instagram post saying she felt “paralyzed” by criticism from her fans.

A day later, “The Boys” creator scolded fans who made fun of Moriarty’s appearance.

“Hey trolls! First, this is literally the opposite of the damn message of the show.” Eric Kripke wrote that month. “Secondly, you’re causing pain to real people with real feelings. Be nice. If you can’t be nice, then eat a bag of dicks, go fuck yourself in the sun and don’t watch #TheBoys, not us.” I love you.”
