While Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding festivities in Jamnagar were a starry affair, Karan Johar missed out. Bollywood superstars like Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and others were in Gujarat to be a part of the extravagant celebrations. However, fans wondered why KJo wasn’t at the celebrations.
Much the same, a source exclusively told IndiaToday.in that Karan Johar was not only supposed to attend the festivities but also perform at the sangeet with his friend and fashion designer, Manish Malhotra. However, Karan developed an attack of viral and sore throat at the last minute, due to which she had to do a rain check.
Since Karan was not at the celebrations, Manish acted in ‘Bole Chudiyaan’ with Ananya Panday, Sara Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor. The source added that Karan and Manish had even rehearsed. Although she was absent from the celebrations, she sent her best wishes to Anant and Radhika over the phone and plans to meet them soon.
On March 6, he posted a beautiful video of Radhika’s dreamy entry to a reprise version of ‘Dekha Tainu’ from ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ and wrote a beautiful note.
