A demonstration for very early Final Fantasy VII Rebirth It is now available on PSN. Announced during tonight’s show Final Fantasy VII-In a stream focused on state of play, the exclusive PlayStation 5 demo will allow players to experience the opening moments of RenaissanceWith both Cloud and Sefirot as playable characters during the game’s well-known Nibelheim flashback chapter.

Straight 2020 sequel Final Fantasy VII Remake (and its DLC, Intermission of the episode), Final Fantasy VII Rebirth dives into the events that followed Cloud and company’s escape from the city of Midgar. As in the original, a flashback scene following the group’s escape details protagonist Cloud’s relationship with Shinra, his elite SOLDIER military unit, and the game’s main antagonist, Sephiroth.
But in addition to telling Cloud’s mysterious backstory, the demo also features some of RenaissanceThe new combat mechanics.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth The demo shows the synergy skills and the open map.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth maintains the same basic combat mechanics that appear in Redo. While in combat, players can move around the battle space with the left stick (and dodge with a circle), attack freely with a square, and perform some special moves with a triangle. As you make attacks, you fill an “Active Time Battle” gauge that allows you to use special attacks, cast spells, and use items. RenaissanceHowever, it introduces some newer mechanics, including synergy abilities.

Synergy Skills are unique maneuvers and combo attacks that have their own separate gauge that fills through the use of Active Time Battle attacks. Once two characters have their gauges filled, you can execute a combo attack, such as Red XIII and Cloud’s “Savage Assault”, which also fills your Break Limit gauge. according to Square Enix.
Later in the month, Square Enix will also add the Junon region to the demo, home to that city with the big gun.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth launches on February 29
Today’s demo is just a taste of what’s to come when the full game launches on February 29, exclusively for PS5. While we’ve already seen a lot of the new game through some pretty epic trailers, there’s still a lot left to discover. We can expect a 40-hour campaign, a large, explorable world map and completely new locations, not to mention an exciting narrative and a narrative that can deviate from that of the original in surprising ways.
